The background check is a beast, but a job with the Cleveland FBI sure would be sweet, now that the G-men and women have moved into their new digs on Lakeside Avenue. To prevent another Oklahoma City, the $45 million building is set back 100 feet from the street and surrounded by iron gates and in-ground hydraulic plates. But not all the money was spent on fortressing. The lobby has a cinematic, star-chamber feel; the gym affords a view of the lake; and the locker room is country-club caliber. J. Edgar would have loved to soak his nylons in this palace.
