Kids have so much fun at the Great Lakes Science Center, they won't even realize they're actually learning stuff. The weeklong programs focus on superheroes, wizards, and robots. The hands-on activities include such icky and world-conquering subjects as slime-making and levitation. One class builds turbocharged Lego machines that can sink baskets like LeBron. There's even a girls-only outing that focuses on sparkly butterflies, stars, and crystals. And each workshop teaches children about grown-up subjects -- physics, engineering, and forensics, to name a few -- so the kids are definitely learning, whether they know it or not.
