Joe Kastelic, a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Art, runs this local furniture store that specializes in pieces that bridge the gap between city and country with a combination of industrial and rustic materials. Kastelic frequently uses recycled metals and woods that he finds around Northeast Ohio and remakes them into a modern design. Play-Haus has a wide variety of pieces, from tables, desks and shelving to bike racks and wine racks. Custom pieces are also available. This is the perfect place to furnish your new home, with pieces that look a little more adult than boards on concrete blocks, while adding some local flavor. While some of the collection can be seen online, sales are usually done in-person at the Ohio City showroom.
