Best Low-Impact Hiking Trail

Bedford Reservation, Between Tinkers Creek Gorge Scenic Overlook and Bridal Veil Falls

So you don't want to spend $150 on special hiking boots; you just want a nice nature walk. Well, take your Keds out to Dunham Road in Bedford, and start your low-impact hike at Hermit's Hollow. Along the way, stop and admire the incredible view (and the gorgeous fall colors) at the Tinkers Creek Gorge overlook. Then wend your way along the bridle/hiking trail, through fairy-tale forestland, to Bridal Veil Falls, where the water flows like lace over layers of blue-gray Bedford shale. And it's just as lovely on the way back.
