City Club Friday Forum

For 95 years, the weekly City Club Forum has given Clevelanders a chance to have open and frank conversations with world leaders, including civil-rights activist W.E.B. DuBois, both presidents Roosevelt, and both presidents Bush. (W's appearance at the club last March was the first time he agreed to take unscreened questions from any audience, a precondition for speaking at the club.) Don't be intimidated by the club's marble walls and V.I.P. guest list: Anyone can walk in off the street to needle the powerful and self-important. The forums are every Friday at noon and cost $30. A classy, hearty lunch -- and the chance to finally trip up The Man -- are included.
