On his Facebook page, singer-guitarist Joe Moorhead boasts that his music is like "a rum-soaked cool breeze off an island shore." You certainly can't accuse the guy of false advertising. With songs such as "Drinks in Our Hands," a tune that, as its title implies, is about chilling at the beach with a drink in your hand, the band's most recent album, Tides are Rising, lives up to the billing. Moorhead evokes the music of Jack Johnson and G. Love & Special Sauce. A real road warrior, he's started to build up a regional following too. And his laid-back attitude makes him a really likeable guy.
