Best Player Who Got Away

Brian Giles, Pittsburgh Pirates

If the Indians' trade patterns have been shrewd in one way, it must be that the best departed talent has been shipped to National League teams, where ESPN highlights and all-star games are the only way we're subjected to their conquests. Just put it out of your head that Brian Giles has become the superstar we were all pretty sure he'd be when he was traded to Pittsburgh. He's the only Pirate in history to hit 30 homers and drive in 100 RBI in back-to-back seasons, and he's close to doing it again this year. Hmm . . . how would that production look in Russell Branyan's place?
