Best Public Art Piece

Quadrum, by Rod DeFoe II

Quadrum is a functional art piece that consists of about two and a half tons of stone obtained from the Cleveland Quarry, which happens to be the largest sandstone quarry in the world. The original commission called for a park bench, but that evolved into this stone seating piece that overlooks the only waterfall (Mill Creek Falls) located in the City of Cleveland. At the opening, children were immediately clambering all over it -- a sure sign of success for a piece of public art.
