When former Clevelander Chad Bilyeu, a guy who runs a multimedia studio and record label based in Amsterdam that delves into art, music, nightlife and publications, needed a local outlet to sell one of his cassette-only releases, he hit up this record store/coffee shop/art gallery. The folks at the Tremont establishment happily helped him out, as they specialize in hard-to-find releases. Well-stocked with new and used vinyl (and cassettes, too, which have also made a comeback), Loop caters to the discriminating music fan. The cozy coffee shop (which smells like absolute heaven since they roast their own beans) has two floors, the second devoted entirely to music, and sells tickets to Beachland and Grog Shop shows too. The best part: You can enjoy it all with a cuppa joe in your hand.
