Souper Market

The Souper Market prepares about eight different kinds of soup from scratch each day. The selection changes every month or so, and the soups are always made with fresh, in-season ingredients. The tomato soup puts Campbell's to shame - it's creamy and thick, with just a touch of pepper. Summer soups include a chilled Indian pear and strawberry bisque. During the winter there's heartier fare, including the Cajun jambalaya, which doesn't skimp on the shrimp, chicken, or spicy andouille sausage. The broth has so many onions, it'll bring tears to your eyes. Depending on the type of soup, cups cost about $4 apiece and bowls about $5.50. Each cup or bowl is served with a thick hunk of bread for dunking.
