Ram Dass was talking about life, not cuisine, when he instructed us to Be Here Now. Still, if he had known chef-restaurateur Parker Bosley, he might have broadened his scope. Not content merely to create wonderful meals from wholesome products, Bosley went out and built himself an entire food-supply network, tapping local farmers, growers, and producers to stock his West Side kitchen with the freshest, most natural ingredients that the good Ohio earth can provide. As a result, diners at his restaurant are treated to dishes that are firmly rooted in a particular time and place. In other words, it's food that reminds us where we are, when we are, and who we are -- and, as the guru would tell you, that's the key to life.
