Big Ass Paper and Bad Ass Shibori
Big Ass Paper is back with a new twist! During the first part of this workshop, the class will work together to pull enough 8’X4′ kozo paper for everyone to keep several sheets. The sheets will then be used to practice the art of Shibori immersion dyeing, primarily making use of beautiful blue indigo to create intricate patterns. Techniques in compression, tying, stitching and folding will be used to create an array of colors and textures on beautiful handmade paper.
