Black Mother, the latest movie by filmmaker and photographer Khalik Allah, comes off as a "loving, lyrical ode to Jamaica and its people (Allah’s mother was born there). The film includes footage of everything from red light districts to lush rain forests. It screens at 6:45 tonight and at 9:25 on Saturday night at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque.
