Bombs Away

When: Fri., Jan. 17 2014

In his new documentary film Let the Fire Burn, director Jason Osder culls footage from the news reports and court proceedings that surrounded the radical African-American activist group MOVE. In 1985, the city of Philadelphia bombed its rowhouse headquarters, killing 11 people and destroying several surrounding homes. One critic accurately described the film as a "suspense thriller." The movie makes its local premiere tonight at 7:30 at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque and screens again at 9:30 tomorrow night. Tickets are $9. (Niesel)
