Brian Wilson and Jeff Beck/Al Jardine

On paper, the pairing of Beach Boy Brian Wilson with Yardbird Jeff Beck might seem odd. A brilliant composer, Wilson doesn't tour much and prefers to stay behind the scenes (though he did recently embark on a jaunt with the Beach Boys). A powerhouse blues player, Beck still shreds. If their appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon was any indication, the two Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees will keep things on the mellow side at tonight's show, the second-to-last date of their 18-date U.S. tour. Wilson will start the show off by playing a few Beach Boys classics and Beck will take over the second half by performing material from his long career as Wilson and tour mates Al Jardine and David Marks add backing vocals.
