Working—and rocking your fucking face off— at a furious pace these days, the newly formed Gypsydaze quietly dropped a four-song EP on the Internet last weekend. Run For The Border manages to show off the frenzy and talent of all three members—TeeJayy Lewins' groove-shred six-string throwdown, Kyle McKenna's jaunty, harmonic basslines and Dom Williams' always-on-point beats and rhythms. The polished studio takes distill the band's live energy into a nice, portable package. For instance, you can easily imagine the band slaying "Prove Me Wrong" onstage, given Lewins's badass vocal work and the relentless cymbal crashing thrown down by Williams. All the testament you'll need to confirm this band as one of the rising stars of Cleveland's rock scene can be found in this tidy collection of tunes. — Eric Sandy
