Breakfast Special @ Bon Bon

by

comment

Without a doubt, breakfast is the best meal of the day. And not just for all the reasons doctors have been telling us about since bacon was invented. Breakfast also has the best selection of noms. Bonbon Pastry & Cafe serves all the usual suspects all day long: omelets, pancakes, and French toast, as well as an assortment of muffins, scones, and croissants. But it's their Breakfast Special — two eggs, cider bacon, grilled focaccia, and French-press coffee (or beer!) for only $6 — that makes us want to hop out of bed in the morning ... or at least sometime around noon. Even better are the breakfast tacquitos, stuffed with bacon, eggs, black beans, avocado, fontina cheese, cilantro, and lime, which go for $12. Be sure to ask for a side of the special chili oil for a little extra kick. — Michael Gallucci
