Child Bite

When: Tue., Nov. 4, 10 p.m. 2014

Detroit-based rockers Child Bite are gearing up to release another album next month, but the details remain secret other than a teaser track listing. Previous release Vision Crimes/Monomania boasts fast-paced guitar and high-energy percussion punctuated by howling vocals. “Wrong Flesh” incorporates melodic hardcore riffs with a downright catchy refrain. “Abysmal Splatter” and “The Nerves” take on a decidedly punk sound with Shawn Knight’s angry vocals wavering between a scream and chant while drums beat and guitars wail in furious symphony. “Puke for the Youth” sounds like a strange mash up of a never-before-heard Dead Kennedys song with retro twists as Knight yells his frustrations out over vintage-sounding guitar. Expect to hear this and much of their new stuff tonight at Now That’s Class. (Trenholme)
