Christmas Wine

Looking to get some holiday shopping out of the way tonight? At Stan Hywet's Twelve Grapes of Christmas winetasting, all the vino sells for less than $25 a bottle. "I love watching people walk up, say they love the wines, and know they can afford to take home a bottle," says Stan Hywet representative Rhonda Howell. This season's hot pick: champagne. "People don't realize it matches so well with so many different foods," says Howell. "It's not just for the beginning of the evening." A variety of sweet, dry, and in-between vintages will also be uncorked. "If you like how something tastes, don't worry if it's an exact match with the course you're serving," says Howell. "If you like it, drink it."
