Close to 50 comics will be on hand for the 2015 Cleveland Comedy Festival Contest that pits up-and-coming comedians from all over the U.S. against each other for a top prize of $2,000 and paid work at Cleveland and Akron’s premiere comedy clubs. A series of preliminary shows at Playhouse Square, each featuring 12 comics, will launch the contest. Audience vote will count for 50 percent of the results.
