Collecting African American Art with David Lusenhop

When: Sat., Feb. 18 2017

In conjunction with its current exhibition, The Electrostatic Man: The Art of Miller Horns, and Black History Month, the Artists Archives of the Western Reserve hosts a special presentation, Collecting African American Art with David Lusenhop, from 1 to 3 p.m. today. During his 45-minute presentation, Lusenhop will discuss his experience working with museums to acquire important works by African Americans for their permanent collections. The talk will conclude with Lusenhop’s thoughts on the work of the late Akron artist Miller Horns, whose work Lusenhop collects, as well as why he believes Horns’ work should be in more public collections. The presentation is free, but registration is required. For more information or to register, visit the website or call. Admission is free. (Usmani)
