Concepts, Toys and Collage: New Works by Mindy Tousley and Lisa Kenion

When: Fri., Sept. 2 2016

The latest exhibition at Harris Stanton’s Cleveland location pairs two longtime peers and friends, both of whom will showcase new and rarely seen work, as well as their more traditional work. Mindy Tousley is the Executive Director of the Artists Archives of the Western Reserve. She studied design with a concentration in ceramics at Buffalo State College. Tousley will exhibit her collages and “toys,” both of which thoughtfully repurpose seemingly random objects. Lisa Kenion earned her MFA from Kent State University. Kenion’s more well-known bronze work will be complemented by new, two-dimensional drawings and paintings. Kenion’s work explores ancient cultures and their interest in nature and the divine feminine. Concepts, Toys and Collage: New Works by Mindy Tousley and Lisa Kenion opens with a reception from 6 to 8:30 tonight. Admission is free. (Usmani)
