Dancing Days

When: Sat., June 13 2015

Director Wim Wenders (Wings of Desire, The Buena Vista Social Club) has made some terrific films over the years. In Pina, his 2011 effort, he profiles friend German Pina, a modern dancer and choreographer. The film documents the performances she and her dance company put on around the German city of Wuppertal which has been their home since 1972. The film was shot in 3D but will show in 2D tonight at 6:45 at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque. Tickets are $9. It's a special benefit screening that will help pay for the installation of digital cinema in the Cinematheque's new theater. (Niesel)
