Disturbing the Peace

When: Mon., Feb. 27 2017

Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a hot button issue right now, with divisive opinions on both sides of the spectrum. Disturbing The Peace, a new documentary film, focuses on a group of former enemies — Israeli soldiers and Palestinian freedom fighters — that have joined together as an organization called “combatants for peace.” The group advocates for peace and calls for non-violent approaches to resolving the conflict between the two countries. Critics have praised the film, and it has received awards from multiple film festivals. After the film, co-producer Marcina Hale will appear in person to answer audience questions. The screening begins at 6:45. Tickets are $10, $7 for members and students. (Cook)
