n his review of Red Lantern Kitchen & Bar, the West Park bar and restaurant that reopened last year, Scene’s Doug Trattner wrote “in true ‘gastropub’ fashion, the roster of chow hops from mussels and flatbreads to tacos and Po’ Boys to ribs and grilled chops. The treatments are trendy, the presentations stylish, and the execution largely commendable.” Late last year, the newly refashioned place hosted its first beer dinner. Tonight, the libation of choice is Tullamore DEW Irish Whiskey. A Tullamore DEW brand Ambassador (all the way from Ireland!) will be on hand to serve samples that’ll be paired with a five-course meal. Tickets are $40 and the event begins at 7 p.m. (Niesel)
