Don't Eat the Brown Funnel Cake


Think of Painesville's annual Party in the Park as a sort of mini-Woodstock -- without the rampant drug use. For three days, Veterans Park hosts the largest outdoor music festival in Lake County, featuring everything from jazz to bluegrass (plus fair food, raffles, and magicians). "It's the celebration of music as a universal language," says recreational director David Whittaker. "Exposure is what any act wants, and free exposure in front of a large crowd definitely doesn't hurt."
