The Cleveland Institute of Art’s 125th-anniversary exhibit is so massive, it takes two venues to showcase it. From Here to Infinity & the Big Bang, which opens today, is on view at both CIA’s Reinberger Galleries and Spaces. More than 50 alum contribute pieces to the show, which is divided between the two galleries -- CIA gets the Infinity half, while Bang goes to Spaces. The former gathers famous works by old-school artists like Robert Mangold, John Paul Miller, and Viktor Schreckengost. The latter features photographs, sculptures, and paintings by newer grads like Libby Black, Sarah Chuldenko, and Mark Reigelman. Together, the artwork gives a pretty good idea of the talent that’s emerged from CIA over the past 100 years. From Here to Infinity is on view through October 27 at the Cleveland Institute of Art’s Reinberger Galleries, 11141 East Boulevard. It’s open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call 216-421-7403 or visit www.cia.edu/galleries/reinberger.php. The Big Bang is on view through October 19 at Spaces, 2220 Superior Viaduct. It’s open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Call 216-621-2314 or visit www.spacesgallery.org for more information.
