Seasonal Special Happenings

Dream On

When: Fri., Aug. 16, 7 p.m. 2013

Ever since Steven Tyler joined the judging panel on American Idol back in 2010, America has been on an Aerosmith kick. From the drug problems to the ego clashes, drama has always followed the band. However, one of the best American bands ever has persisted over all these years and even released a new album last year, even if it wasn’t received with great commercial or critical success. Tonight, Draw the Line, the only “endorsed” Aerosmith tribute band, will perform at Lock 3 bringing all that drama and hardship to life. Tyler and Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer have both given their praise for the group, and Kramer has even played with them before. As far as cover bands go, this show is the real deal for Aerosmith fans looking for a fun night of free rocking. Bassel and the Supernaturals, a jazzy-funk group out of Chicago, will open the show at 7 p.m. and Draw the Line takes the stage at 8:30 p.m. Admission is free. (Hoffman)
