Dressed to Kill and Body Double

When: Thu., Aug. 18 2016

rian De Palma, the legendary director behind a whole hit parade of films including Carrie, Scarface, and Mission: Impossible, isn’t without a few underappreciated works in his back catalog. Tonight and tomorrow night, the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque will screen two of those works, cult classics Dressed to Kill and Body Double. The former is about a prostitute who witnesses a murder and plans to investigate the crime for herself. The latter follows a house-sitting man who becomes a suspect for murder after the woman he voyeuristically spies on across the street is killed. Dressed to Kill screens tonight at 6:45 and Body Double follows at 8:50. Tomorrow night, Body Double screens at 7:30 and Dressed to Kill follows at 9:40. Tickets are $10, $8 for Cinematheque members, students and seniors. (Shively)
