Hibiscus Mojito @ the Blue Bar

Little mentioned but apparently much appreciated by workers and visitors in and around Playhouse Square, the Wyndham Cleveland's Blue Bar is becoming a hoppin' downtown Happy Hour destination — and with good cause. From 4:30 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, everything (and we do mean everything) is half off. That includes apps like wings, pulled pork sliders, and executive chef Shawn Brozic's signature chicken yakitori, which goes for just $4; more than a dozen wines by the glass; and a host of snazzy cocktails, including four that are crafted from organic liquors, like the Hibiscus Mojito (above). Poured over ice into a tall tumbler, the potion is a well-muddled mix of fresh lime, mint, organic rum, organic agave nectar, and organic hibiscus liqueur. At $5, we're feeling happy already. The Blue Bar is in the Wyndham Cleveland, 1260 Euclid Ave. Call 216-615-7500 or visit wyndham.com for more info. — Elaine T. Cicora
