13 Faces of Death (Pathos Productions)

Cleveland grindcore legend Embalmer is back, on Rhode Island's Pathos Productions, home to kindred cuddly acts like Clitorture. Rick Fleming (as in phlegming Rick) regurgitates indecipherable lyrics like Cookie Monster with a taste for human flesh. After an eight-year layoff -- playing this fast and hard takes its toll -- the quintet returns, spewing thrash in triple time. Album number three is an assault of increasingly grisly tunes such as "They Can Smell Our Blood," "Beheaded Without a Drop Spilt," "Limbs in the Grinder," "Rotten Body Fluids," "Mutilation at the Altar," and "The More Motherfuckers Dead, the Better." If the titles sound good to you, so will the music.
