Feeling Minnesota

When: Thu., Sept. 11 2014

Today’s game against the Minnesota Twins marks the final contest in a marathon 11-game homestand for the Tribe. Though it started off rocky against the Tigers, Danny Salazar ignited the Indians’ energy with his complete game shutout last Wednesday. Today — if the rotation schedule goes forward as planned — ace Corey Kluber should be taking the hill. Klubes suffered three consecutive losses to round out August, but here’s hoping he returns to the dominant form that has made him a serious Cy Young contender. The Twins’ bats always seem a little thinner than the rest of the AL Central, so with any luck Kluber will feast on their offense while you feast on hot dogs during your lunch hour. First pitch is at 12:05. Tickets start at $12. (Allard)
