Contempo Design + Communications, the locally based founder and producer of the annual Female Entrepreneur Summit (FES), has booked 25 speakers for its eighth annual day devoted to the female entrepreneur. The event aims to allow female business leaders to "connect, learn, and grow." It'll take place from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Cleveland History Center at the Western Reserve Historical Society, where more than 25 successful industry professionals will share opportunities and personal testimonials. Keynote speakers include Nathalie Molina Niño, the author of Leapfrog: The New Revolution for Women Entrepreneurs and an "impact investor" targeting high-growth businesses that benefit women and the planet, and Claire Coder, the founder of Aunt Flow, an initiative with a mission to "ensure everyone has access to menstrual products." The 2019 FES will cover an array of topics designed to help entrepreneurs learn and succeed. A lunchtime program will feature a panel discussion and dessert tasting from three of Cleveland's best dessert makers — Loretta Paganini, Shelley Pippin and Kelsey Smith. Tickets cost $199 and are available on the website. (Niesel)
