To get the weekend started, the upscale lounge Impulse rocks with its 5:01 Wine & Cheese Party
. Chef Bob Gideon feeds the masses with his menu of mouthwatering munchies. "There are times when there's a line from the doors all the way past the front desk, through the lobby, around the corner, and toward the ballroom," says Gideon, the chef at Michael's Grill inside the Holiday Inn Cleveland South, where Impulse is located. Gideon suspects that the crowd comes for the free grub he makes from veggie plates and Swedish meatballs to jalapeño poppers and Spanish olives stuffed with Asiago cheese. "We get groups that want to make reservations just to get the free hors d'oeuvres," sighs Gideon. "There's always a way to beat the system."
