When: Thu., Oct. 16 2014

An associate professor at Case Western Reserve University, film scholar Robert Spadoni will be on hand tonight when the Cleveland Institute of Art’s Cinematheque shows the 1961 French flick Cleo from 5 to 7. Spadoni, who has written a new book, A Pocket Guide to Analyzing Films, will introduce the film and then sell copies of his book after the screening. Directed by Agnes Varda, one of the only women associated with French New Wave cinema, the film centers on a nightclub singer who is concerned she might have cancer. It screens at 7 and tickets are $9. (Niesel)
