The icy white heart of Pluto became an instant sensation after the 2015 New Horizons flyby, featured in the news worldwide. The actual feature on Pluto is composed of frozen nitrogen, carbon Monoxide and methane. Water plays the same role on Earth as a solid on twin caps. Is Pluto's heart also an ice cap? Why is there only one polar cap on Pluto and why is it located on 30 degrees of latitude? Dr. Hamilton will explain the phenomenon of Pluto's polar cap in relation to the ice caps on Earth.
