Akron revs up for a weekend of food, brew, and art.

The Akron Arts Expo Weekend kicks off tonight, but the big event happens on Saturday and Sunday. That's when more than 150 artisans display and sell paintings, textiles, and jewelry, with live entertainment and food rounding out the action.

Think of tonight's Taste of Akron event as an appetizer to the main course, with a bevy of area restaurants offering samples of their eats. Live music helps wash it down. Tomorrow night's Wine Tasting also sounds promising; it features more than 60 beers and wines.
