Models will show off knitted suits and crocheted shawls by Akron designer Lindsay Jean Marie at tonight's Faces of Fashion. "She's highlighting trends that mix the old with the new," says organizer Jennifer Myers. "She'll show shawls with antique brooches and vintage suits with modern-day accessories. And they're all good pieces [which are] pretty versatile."

Marie's spring collection also includes handbags and parasols. "I was blown away by her designs," says Myers. "The fact that she's selling handmade, hand-dyed clothing doesn't mean they're break-the-bank expensive. You get the quality and artistry of having a one-of-a-kind piece, but it's affordable to young professionals who don't have the money to go into high-end galleries."
