Nearly 30 vintners from around the country pop the cork on more than 220 varieties of vino at this weekend's Cleveland Wine Festival. The third annual blowout also pays tribute to the Buckeye State's best Chablis, Chardonnays, and Cabernets in the "Our Ohio Wine and Food Pavilion." To help sop up the wine, Stancato's, Fahrenheit, and Sophie's Choice Café join a list of Northeast Ohio restaurants that'll dish out high-end cuisine. And onstage, Cleveland band Skinny will unleash its rock originals tonight, followed by tomorrow's concerts by Chicago's Dayna Malow Band in the afternoon and its Windy City counterpart, the Michael Heaton Band, in the evening. Drink up from 4 to 10 p.m. today and 2 to 10 p.m. tomorrow at Voinovich Park at the foot of East Ninth Street. Tickets are $20 in advance and $30 at the park. Call 216-233-2457 or visit www.clevelandwinefestival.com.
Fri., June 27, 4-10 p.m.; Sat., June 28, 2-10 p.m., 2008
