Seasonal Special Happenings

Hahn Solo

When: Thu., Oct. 23 2014

Classical music isn't just for old folks. Take Hilary Hahn. The violinist made her orchestral debut when she was still a teenager and started her recording career while in her teens as well. Now 34, Hahn, whom Time magazine once crowned "America's Best Young Classical Musician," is considered one of the best in the business. She appears with the Cleveland Orchestra tonight at 7:30 at Severance Hall to perform both violin concertos of J.S. Bach in the second week of the Orchestra’s “Bach in Focus” series of events. The program also features works by Brahms and Mendelssohn. Hahn will play with the orchestra again tomorrow night at 8 and Saturday night at 8. Tickets start at $29. (Niesel)
