At the Independence Library on Thursday, August 2nd at 7:00 PM Thomas Matowitz, a member of the board of trustees of the Cleveland Police Historical Society and grandson of one of the department's longest serving chiefs, will cover the department's history from 1866 through the present. Mr. Matowitz will include information on several well known crimes the department confronted during this time, as well as some of the department's most colorful personalities.
