Feeling like a remodel is due for your home? The annual NARI Home Improvement Show comes to the I-X Center today and runs through Sunday. This year’s show includes the Neighborhood Trends Display, which features three of today’s most popular remodels: a downtown style loft, a historical family room with built-in entertainment area and a modern suburban kitchen with the trendiest options. Also featured is the Ultimate Outdoor Escape exhibit, which includes a multi-level patio, fully functional bar and aquatic garden. Doghouses built by vocational students will be on display as well. Saturday’s bill features a special appearance by HGTV’s Kitchen Cousins. Tickets are $14 for adults, and kids 16 and under get in free. (Trenholme)
