Hoochie Coup

The hot fashion trend this season: Trashy-chic.

The organizers of tonight's Hoochie Couture Fashion Show say that sin is in. "A lot of girls want to look promiscuous, edgy, hardcore, and on the fringe of society," says organizer Tino Roncone. "They may throw together a short miniskirt and leg warmers or a little T-shirt and a shawl. It's something you would see on MTV. They go into the clubs looking like Gwen Stefani."

The outfits are designed by six local fashionistas, including Dee Hall,, and Tinkerbot Glam Rock Couture. Orchid Fashions of Cleveland and Hard Rock Café Merchandising are also part of the lineup. Also, Jeffrey Paul Salons stylists show off the season's latest cuts. "You can take these models out of the show and put them on West Sixth Street or in New York, L.A., Miami, or Las Vegas," says Roncone. "They'll blend right in."
