This exhibit features the soft sculptures of Jordan Elise Perme. Familiar animals are re-imagined as fantastical creatures that look as if they have come from another land with the addition of new and strange features. This land is both sweet and creepy and entirely of make believe. Each creature is sculpted, covered with felt scales, and then topped off with eerily realistic glass eyes. The finished piece is then mounted on a painted wood plaque, much like taxidermy. 'Horrible Adorables' will feature new work that has evolved from inanimate forms to story vignettes that share the creature’s personality and emotion.
