Hump Day

Three months ago, Hamilton's owner Marc Hewlett fretted over his gay bar's dismal turnout on Wednesdays. Then he took up DJ Rob Black's offer to start Midweek Mayhem, where the jock could spin uptempo house music. "There's really nothing that goes on too much on Wednesdays," says Hewlett. "We decided to have a night where we'd use the flexibility for a bit of fun." Adding to the revelry, bartenders offer a pair of specials: $3 bomb shots and $1.50 bottles of Coors Lite. "It's developed its regulars now, and people are coming back week after week," says Hewlett. "Wednesdays are getting a lot better."
