Hunting and Fishing with Mentor Public Library and Mentor Gander Mountain

In collaboration, Mentor Public Library and the Mentor Gander Mountain are bringing a new summer seminar series for hunting and fishing enthusiasts. The seminar series will begin Thursday, June 21 at 6:30 p.m. in the Main Library’s James R. Garfield Room. The first seminar in the series will present tips on Lake Erie fishing and lure selection, as well as approaches to walleye fishing and trolling techniques. Registration is required for all of the seminars. Mentor Gander Mountain staff will present a seminar on Lake Erie fishing and lure selection. Tips on fishing for walleye and trolling techniques will also be presented. Registration begins June 7. Mentor Gander Mountain staff will present a seminar on fly fishing/bow fishing. Presentation will feature how to fly fish, tie a lure, archery how-tos and equipment suggestions. Registration begins July 5. Mentor Gander Mountain staff will present a seminar featuring archery setups and tips on urban deer hunting. Registration begins Aug. 2.
