I Want to Hold Your Handyman

Tools, contractors, and TV stars converfge at home improvement show.

This weekend’s RemodelOhio<\b> Show is getting a makeover. Where past events targeted handymen, now they’re reaching out to the fairer sex, which increasingly makes the decisions when it comes to home improvement. “For too long, we had the image of a Do-It-Yourself show,” says Professional Remodelers of Ohio’s Brenda Callaghan. “And that’s just not the case anymore.” While there are still plenty of tips and tools to help the fixer-upper in your life, experts will also lead seminars on interior design.

Celebrity guests Aiden Turner (who was on All My Children and MTV’s Undressed) and Peter Marr (from the Food Network’s Kitchen Accomplished and the Style Network’s My Celebrity Home) sign autographs. “Women are making decisions around the house,” says Callaghan.
