With its debut album, Avarice and Absolution, Virginia Beach's Revery continues the chain of influence that started in the early '90s with the tormented, flannel-wearing Nirvana and Pearl Jam. Power chords, angst-ridden lyrics, and a general sense of being simultaneously pissed-off and confused drip through the grooves of its songs.
