The Indie Gathering International Film Festival brings 127 films — everything from shorts and music videos to full-length features — to Northeast Ohio. According to festival producer Kristina Michelle, the event originated as a networking conference for those in the industry. But in the 16 years since its founding, the fest has evolved into a major indie showcase, drawing filmmakers and audiences from around the world. Besides the full schedule of screenings, this weekend’s lineup includes panels, lectures, competitions, networking parties, and workshops on everything from film editing to makeup. Screenings begin Friday at 6 and continue all day Saturday and Sunday. Various admission packages are available online; prices range from $15 to $45. Individual film passes are $7 for features and $5 for shorts at the door. Find them at the Clarion Inn & Conference Center, 240 Hines Hill Rd. in Hudson.
