Do you watch opening bands or skip as many as possible?

comment
"I try to catch the openers. Some of my favorite bands today are bands that I saw opening for someone else, i.e. Alice in Chains opening for Van Halen, etc."

-- Matt Wardlaw, The Metal Show

"It's hard to watch eight bands until the headliner goes on. 85 percent of the time the bands suck. Cleveland is full of garbage. Any good band usually sounds like an already famous band. If you're talking major-label artists, yes, I watch the openers."

-- Matt Demko, Cleveland

"I like to catch the openers. I love finding new music."

-- Julie C., Cuyahoga Falls

"I try to see the opening band. You never know what you're going to get, but they need an audience too."

-- Melody, Youngstown

Question of the Week: . . . So what's a good number of bands on a bill?
